RIGF 2019 registration opens
The 10th Russian Internet Governance Forum will be held on April 8 in Moscow
On April 8, 2019, the 10th Russian Internet Governance Forum will be held in Moscow (https://rigf.ru/ RIGF 2019) by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU with support from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
In 2019, the RIGF will follow a unique format and will become the highlight of this jubilee year. The forum will mark two anniversaries: 25 years of the .RU domain and 10 years of the RIGF. Participants will discuss national domains and their place on the modern internet as well as the development of the internet in Russia and the world.
At RIGF 2019, experts will speak about the history of the Russian internet governance ecosystem and the main characteristics of this process, and will speculate on global network governance in the future. The forum will be attended by those who ten years ago brought the topic of internet governance into the public space in Russia at all levels, from internet users to senior executives of large corporations and government officials.
The two main sections of the forum, History of Russian Internet: Personal Perspectives and The Future of the Internet: The Next 25 Years, will bring together experts from all over the world for an open and meaningful discussion of the global network’s past and future, current trends in internet governance and new challenges for the participants in this process.
The RIGF 2019 program would not be complete without the Virtuti Interneti awards ceremony, a presentation by the award winner and special anniversary events marking the 25 years of the .RU domain.
